How We Got Started
Elevation Retrievers is a small breeding program based in Roseburg, Oregon. Our dogs run the hills of our 40 acre property. They’re well socialized, happy, healthy & the best companions for our family.
As children, we grew up with Golden Retrievers and fell in love with this beautiful, happy and loving breed. We purchased our first female in 2018 and finished her health testing prior to her first litter. The goal of our business is to better the breed by testing for conditions recommended by the Orthopedic Foundation Association and/or PennHip, as well as genetic testing for common conditions that have been passed down in this purebred breed. Each breeding pair is evaluated for the common Golden Retriever traits that we adore. We strive for dogs who are well rounded with trainable personalities that can be a loving family pet, companion dog, service dog, show dog, or a hunting dog. All of our puppies are raised on the BAB, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) curriculum. After nursing, they start on quality large breed puppy food that's approved by the Association of American Feed Control Officials, (AAFCO), for complete nutritional needs. We feed grain-inclusive food that is recommended by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, (WSAVA), for avoiding Golden Retriever Diet-Associated Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Our puppies leave for their new homes with vaccinations, dewormer, vet health checks, one month of AKC pet insurance and puppy goodie bags. They will be well socialized with people of all ages & other dogs. They learn the beginnings of crate training and indoor potty box training, for a smooth transition to outdoor potty training.
Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our puppies from birth until they leave with their forever family and beyond.
